Who I Am
I'm a writer and enthusiastic renter. As the Beach Vacation Rental Scout, I've made it my mission to handpick and personally review exceptional vacation homes for rent on -- or very near -- America's premier beaches.
I've always loved renting directly from owners who are really passionate about sharing their homes with guests.
Now, I see myself as something of a matchmaker -- introducing your homes to prospective renters who will love them so much more than hotels or B&Bs.
Why I'm Here
Within this exceptional group, I'm hoping to connect with owners who are interested in having me review their homes for BeachVacationRentalScout.com.
I just launched the site this year and am starting with the California coast; then moving to Hawaii as quickly as I can. In time I plan to branch out to Florida, the Carolinas, Northeast and Gulf Coast.
My Criteria for Reviewing Beach Homes
It can be summed up in one word: distinctive. But here are a few examples:
- The Ideal Location: Stairs to the beach, a wraparound view, steps to town.
- A Fascinating (Hi)story: One Bodega Bay home on my site was a creamery that shipped booze out in milk containers during the depression.
- A Colorful Personality: One Santa Cruz home is built around two towering redwoods, just four blocks from the beach.
- A Sure Thing: Time-tested by lots and lots of repeat guests.
