About Member Profiles

FullyBookedRentals (FBR) is a site for VR owners and service providers who are truly passionate about the vacation-rental business. So it just makes good sense to make it as easy as possible for FBR subscribers to share their information and insights with Member Profiles.

The information you present in your profile will be viewable by anyone who visits the site, so it offers a unique opportunity to project your personality and what's special about your property or business, along with a link to your website or one of your online listings.

There are three parts to an FBR Member Profile: Personal Information, Profile Image, and Additional Information text boxes. You have complete control over which of these elements are included in your profile.

Personal Information

This section is essentially an online business card. It can be as simple as your name and Web address. But you also have the option of providing your email address, phone number, and location information. For our members who offer a product or service for VR owners, there are also fields for company name, job title, and company website.

To guard against email harvesting by spambots, your email address, if you choose to include it, will be visible only to FBR members who are logged in to the site. Once you click on the button to make your profile public, all the other fields in the Personal Information section will be visible to both members and non-members. So keep that in mind as you decide which fields to display or not display.

Profile Image

This can be a picture of you, your family, or some favorite image that is representative of your VR property or business. The system makes it easy to upload any JPEG image from your local hard drive.

Additional Information Text Boxes

The three Additional Information text boxes are completely optional. Any box you leave blank will simply not appear in your profile. You can, of course, edit the Additional Information boxes at any time in the future.

• About My VR Property or VR-Related Business. Your personal story. Where is your property (or VR business) located? How long have you owned it? What makes it special? Who is your target market? You don't have to cover all of these points. We merely offer them as suggestions for things you might want to talk about here.
  
• Words of Wisdom for VR Owners. What's the secret to your success? Is there some piece of advice that you wish someone had shared with you when you were first starting out? Or some myth about vacation rentals that you'd like to set to rest? Have you discovered a terrific product or service that you couldn't live without?
  
• Other Passions, Interests, and Pursuits. We thought about calling this one "Getting to Know You," but then we realized that a lot of people might not know that Rodgers and Hammerstein tune from "The King and I." So think of this box as your opportunity to share whatever information you like about things you enjoy doing when you're not running your VR business.

At its finest, the vacation-rental "industry" is personal. It is our hope that the FullyBookedRentals community will be personal as well, and that the Member Profiles feature will move us all closer to that goal.
